One recently found dA-friend (identifyed-tehself) inspired me to write this for her, and I'd like to share it:
"Forms, emotions, thoughts are filling the river of our lifetime. In the middle of everything, we learned to pick out only those things, that our eyes like, that make us smile or happy or that we like to attach a meaning, a label.
But, the attention should go inside, also. Without our labels, without being subject to our desires, hopes or favors, we can let things pass impartially and open ourselves. No language, and no thoughts are necessary when we are attentive to the here and now (Zazen).
If there is an inner urge to find "the truth", not judging if all things around us are wonderful, neutral or despiteful, we might gain a new view. Losing our own layers we have built up, watching very carefully inside us, we might find that there is something, apart from our ego which is a huge and powerful, yet hidden.. something.
Form is nothing else than void and life is full of gates we have to pass through. Before the little death quits all chance to gain insight, shouldnt we start a search to the inside and go as far as we can?
All the best on your travels!
Marcel
